![]() School year 08/09: Adesola will be working with two newly formed hubs of creativity A New Direction (AND) in London and UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton to deliever Creative Parnterships to local primary and secondary schools. She will a Creative Agent in two Haringey Schools and one Tower Hamlets School and work as an Artist Practitioner in one Luton school. Creative Partnerships is a programme that supports the development and nurturing of creativity within education. The Values Project working in partnership with an IT department and Creative Partnerships in a secondary school to explore schools values specificlly the core value of COURAGE. |

| Comenius Regio Working with PLEY, UK and Theatre Lasala, Spain Adesola is part of an international research project investigating the learning environment of under fives, including looking at the culture in education / schools and the home life cultures of children in London and in Sabadell [Spain]. This is a project that extends over two years and involves me and a musician being linked to two children’s centres in UK and engaging in an exchange with a choreographer and musician linked to two children’s centres in Spain. Adesola was awarded a research fellowship by Canterbury Christ Church University for a three year PhD research project, looking at embodied identity and its relationship to learning and the environment. Research takes the form of written papers, community performance and works created for Adesola's professional performance Company as well as new collaborations with artists and academics. Adesola wrote an artical for Dance UK issue 70 about her work titled Geography of the Body. www.danceuk.org |
