Tower Hamlets launch of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad - Through The Arch of Imagination
September 26th, 1pm-3pm, Bishops Square, Brushfield Street, E1 (FREE)

Adesola, with fellow choreographer Lousie Klarnett, is working in collaboration with Theatre Venture and Kinetika to create site-specific performance celebration with Theatre Ventures Universal Citizens Group, Kinetika dancers, local professional performers, three local schools, Green Candle Senior Dancers and the Blocho Band as part of a whole community celebration of the Beijing - London Olympic Handover.

Installations
Installations to dance as part of a residency through Creative Partnerships, London North in WC Harvey School. This work is in collaboration with light Artist Hansjorg Schmidt. Three installations to dance have been created within the school from January 08 to March 08.

Education
School year 08/09: Adesola will be working with two newly formed hubs of creativity A New Direction (AND) in London and UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton to deliever Creative Parnterships to local primary and secondary schools. She will a Creative Agent in two Haringey Schools and one Tower Hamlets School and work as an Artist Practitioner in one Luton school. Creative Partnerships is a programme that supports the development and nurturing of creativity within education.

The Values Project
working in partnership with an IT department and Creative Partnerships in a secondary school to explore schools values specificlly the core value of COURAGE.

Adesola was awarded a research studentship by Canterbury Christ Church University to begin a three year PhD research project, looking at embodied identity and its relationship to learning and the environment. Research will take the form of written papers, community performance and works created for Adesola's professional performance Company as well as new collaborations with artists and acedemics .

Adesola wrote an artical for Dance UK issue 70 about her work titled Geography of the Body.

I am beginning work on a piece exploring the streets around Kings Cross, London and the woman live and work there. I am currently collecting stories, poems about this.
